I looked over to the walls of the room

Nothing, nothing but mirrors.

Mirrors reflecting me from every angle.

My best, my worst, every side…

All so fragile.

To what do I owe this dangerous world.

This mysterious place.

Everyone’s staring; at me.

Yet, I feel misplaced.

I’m never where I’m expected to be.

Truth. Behold. But truth, is with me.

Everyone else judges.

Sometimes they know.

But, what has happened. Truly, never shows.

I hold my scars,

I hold my breath,

I hold this silence,

In this reputation I kept.

I break it a little.

It gets shattered into pieces.

For people expect what they’re

Waiting for.

I look in the halls.

Mirrors around.

I see my reflections.

Reflecting my frown.

I see people watching - from every angle.

Staring at the flaws.

Sirens. Warnings. Filled the air.

“Beware, she’s changed”

I’m not scared.

Sometimes I’m just lost.

In this labyrinth within my head.

One simple reminder;

And I’ll have this mirror

Reflecting my true self, instead.
